The scripture says that we are to pray without ceasing. (I Thess. 5:17) That’s why we have a phone prayer line that you can call 24 hours a day for all the prayer requests that are called into our pastor. Our prayer line is called James 5:16 which says "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

Our Sunday evening services focus on prayer. The deacons have a time of prayer during the morning worship time. The deacons also call those who were not in attendance and ask them if there is anything they can pray about for them.

Cornerstone believes that prayer is the fuel for the engine that drives the church. Prayer is sharp and powerful, it can change the outcome of any situation, and the scriptures say that nothing is impossible with God. (Luke 1:37) Prayer can move mountains that seem impossible to move. (Mark 11:23)

"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (II Chr. 7:14)
